Tap the address bar on top. Tap Favorites. Tap Recents on the bottom of the screen. Now look in the upper left. There should be a Clear button. If you click on that it will clear all locations. There is no way I know of to clear some but not all.

Swipe each recent name from right to left and the Delete box will appear. Tap it et voilá! Gone!

It works that way in Favorites. To remove the information in Recents, bear7962's method is the only option.
