MewSim Brings a Virtual Kitty to Your iPhone

If you want to raise a little kitten but haven’t got the time or the inclination to deal with the real thing, then what about a virtual kitty on your iPhone? Possibly not quite as cuddly as a real one, granted, but easier to clean up after and less expensive to feed. Well, Dynamic Pixels may well have the answer with their cute little free MewSim app, which has just gone live in the App Store. MewSim is a comic interactive simulator featuring a cute little cat that you have to take care of. You can choose the cat’s sex and color, and name it, and every cat will have unique abilities, characteristics and talents. Each sex, male or female, has its own animation, specific modes of behaviour, traits and point of view. Every second of your little virtual buddy’s life is animated, as it interacts with all objects in the house.

MewSim also features two mini-games, which earn you rewards which are then pinned on the kitchen fridge in the main game. Players can also swap cats with their friends’ cats, and compete in international online cat shows.
Let’s face it, this is one app that people are going to either love or hate, so if the idea of it gets you purring, you can download it here for free. Be warned, though, in-app purchases of food will cost you, so it’s not entirely free to play.
