Minecraft, a popular game that allows players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world, has recently landed in the Apple App Store and is now available for download to all iPhone and iPad users.
Minecraft Pocket Edition has already been available to Android users, and the logical next step is to allow player interaction between the two mobile operating systems via local wireless multiplayer. This way you wont miss out on the chance to play with your best friend just because hes a sissy when it comes to choosing a decent mobile phone.
For those who arent really familiar with Minecraft, heres what its all about. You land in some desert unknown place, with nothing around but some different type of blocks stashed away in your backpack. So what do you suppose you should do with those blocks? Thats right, you start building, wherever you want and in the manner you chose.
The Pocket Edition of the game conserves many of the well known aspects of the full game, minus on-line play which could be a little annoying but you do get to play in either Adventure or Survivor mode. Survivor mode is particularly exciting since you have the opportunity to fight off zombies who creep out from admits the darkness, keeping an eye on your health meter.
Dont think that adventure doesnt come at a price though youll have to pay $9.99 to get this little gem from the App Store. The game will be available starting today worldwide. So, what are you waiting for?
