mp3 player not showing shuffle option

Strangest thing, when I went to select a song in my playlist, there usually shows the option for shuffle & repeat, icons in the corners, but now that entire line is gone. Any idea what I might've done wrong? I still have the "shuffle" option at the top of the playlist but I can't disable/enable it (icon missing) in the 'now playing' section.
Hope this makes sense, not sure I was able to describe it well enough.

Tap on the album artwork once and a little bar should appear with the shuffle and loop options

goddamn ugh total noob question i figured i hit somethin wrong cuz it was in my pocket playing without the screen lock on.
thanks i feel like i wasted your time with a response but i did google it first if that helps me any

Don't worry about it. We all pull blanks and derp moments every so often. I was yelling at my phone at why it wasn't vibrating when it was silent all day today. Found out I didn't turn the toggle on. Yeah......
