A charming little piece of nostalgia has hit the App Store today, with the release of Capcom's Mr. Bill. Some of you might remember that Mr. Bill was an iconic character who appeared on Saturday Night Live in the late '70s, early '80s. In the sketches, Mr. Bill would always come to a sticky end, either dismembered or crushed, as he screamed "ooooooooh nooooooooo" in his high-pitched voice! The same sort of humour is very much apparent in the game, as players attempt to guide the accident-prone clay character through a series of disaster-filled jobs run by his nemesis from Saturday Night Live, Sluggo. In his main job of human cannonball in Sluggo Big-Time Circus, players get to control Bill as he's shot from a cannon and sent soaring through the air. Tap the screen to make him flap his arms and stay airborne. Along the way he'll get to bounce of trampolines, dangle from balloons and get shot into the air by trained seals. All in a day's work at the Sluggo Employment Agency!
Mr. Bill features 28 missions spread across two different worlds, as well as two endless high-score challenge levels. Additional levels are also planned for future free updates, starting with Mr. Bill vs. Zombies, due out in time for Halloween.
Mr. Bill is available to download from the App Store for a reduced price of $0.99 for a limited time.
