I live in Antigua (Antigua & Barbuda) in Hurricane alley. 78 yrs young.
Just got an iphone 4. My grandson told me it is better than the BB.
I have a laptop & a boat, so I sometimes go out of wifi range but still in cellular range. Can the laptop connect to the web through the iphone?

Welcome to the forum. Yes you can turn your phone into a wifi hotspot and provide Internet to your computer, but before you can fo that, you will have to jailbreak your iPhone.

I tried the blackberry for 5 minutes and did not really like it, you can connect to the internet vis the iphone with safari or a browser from the app store with 3g, wifi edge or any other data network available to you. for a 3g connection contact your carrier and see what 3g data plans you can have if any
