Music & album covers etc

My 6s is basically an ipod with a phone/mail/messaging as bonus.

I make my own MP3 files for lectures audiobooks and so on. Home-made rather than shop. What is a good easy to use program for my PC to gather them into 'album/series form with a shared album cover so the iphone sees them as albums rather than just a bunch of songs.

If you have iTunes you can select all the songs you want to group as an album and select Get Info. You can fill out the artist and album name, genre etc. there and it will group these songs together when you organize by album, or by artist if they are all by the same artist if you sort by artist

continuing - I did two sets of mp3s. The first worked fine. This 2nd one though has NOT appeared as a album in the iphone. Just songs. Can you list the steps to create an album in the itunes library & send it to the device as an album?
(I'm a senior. Used to mock at old peeps & their cognitive faults in my younger days - now I is one.)
