Music from phone to iPad

Just got the new ipad3, can't see a way to load iPhone info from iTunes to iPad, seems iCloud is the only way. I haven't backed up my phone ever so it says 80 hours to back it up on iCloud just curious if iCloud will bring the music over or not?

If I understand the way iCloud backup works,
the only music iCloud backs up is music you've purchased from the iTunes store.
