Music not playing

Hi just upgraded to ios5 and since doing this I press play in music but nothing happens, it looks like it is trying to do something as the pause symbol is there but timer isn't moving no music, any help would be appreciated as I have a half marathon on Sunday and was kinda looking forward to listening to music. Thanks

I'm having the same problem. The playhead doesn't move and sometimes it skips to the next track. I read that un-syncing your device in iTunes and then re-syncing will erase and then restore your music, and that this should sort the problem. I haven't had a chance to try this yet so I don't know if it works.

Does anybody have a definitive solution for this?

having exactly the same problem, i have about 100 albums on the phone and only about Five of them will play.
I have tried syncing with iTunes and restarting the phone but it makes no difference, has anyone worked it out yet?

I un-synced my phone which deleted all the music then had to re-sync. This sorted the problem for me.
