Musical ringtone

I've always had a song for a ringtone for my phone, but it seems to go away every other release of iOS. I currently have 8.1.2.......can anyone tell me how to set a song as a ringtone now? It went away again......i.e., not selectable under sounds

That's still not possible with iOS 8x. I see that one member suggested to use Garageband when you asked the last time. Did you try it?
