Have approached buying eBooks cautiously but continued to progressively buy titles until I thought it was safe.
However a number of books I have bought from Australia's Angus & Robinson bookshop (which uses Kobo) seem to have vapourised along with the bookstore.

The app loads into a black screen an hangs. The app has disappeared from the App Store.

Has anone else experianced this?

cheers Anton....

All is not as bad as I feared.
Since posting I have discovered that A&R have been taken over and now operate as an online shop and my account (and purchases) are still in tack.
The problem seems to be that the iP app no longer works under iOS 5. Im now waiting for a response from A&R to see if they are aware of the problem.

Kindle is the best on iPhone and iPad. Cloud storage of all your books!

Here's an update. A&R have now responded with 1. An apology 2. A work around.
The work around consists of downloading Adobe digital solutions (I think it was) and after installing on desktop log in to A&R then transfering all titles. The titles then should be able to be read from the iPhone again.

cheers Anton....

I use the Nook app. Lately I have been going back to buying paper backs as I can buy them cheaper than the ebook version. When I first bought my nook I really enjoyed it now with the price of ebooks getting out of hand it just sets on my night stand.
