Need help please

Hello everyone i was trying to get some help with my ipod touch i know this is an iphone forum but i figured you guys if anyone could help me haha because i just cant figured it out
I have a 3rd generation ipod touch running on 5.1.1 and i have it jail broke with redsnow and it just randomly asked me to plug in to itunes and restore it to factory settings but first i had to enter my password. My problem is that if i restore it like it wants me to i will lose my jailbreak and everything on my ipod, so is there anyway to get around it or make me not lose all my jailbreak stuff.

There's no way to bypass the lockscreen. If you're locked out, you're locked out and you have to restore in DFU mode. You won't be able to get the data from it unless you have a backup of it made

The good news is that you'll be able to jailbreak again after the restore.
