Im new to this forum and im not sure if anything has been posted regarding this in the past but here is my situation..

July 5th my iPhone decided it wanted to go for a swim... in the toilet... I pulled it out immediately and put it in a bag of rice. This morning I took it out and testedbit out with no luck. I disassembled the iPhone and thoroughly dried it out. I hookedbit all back up and plugged it in with no luck. I plugged it into the computer and followed instructions on how to do a u-something or another reset. Worked awesome... phone was detected.. erased all of my pictures... blah blah blah. Well the phone vibrates when I switch the vibrate/sound toggle, makes noises when I plug it in... even lets me swipe and unlock it... my problem is, the screen is completely black... looks like there is completely no sign of life... but there is. Please help... what now?!

Generally you'd want to leave it completely submerged in rice for a week or so to ensure that as much of the moisture is absorbed and such. I'd make sure that your connections are all intact and proper.
