Hi guys
I've just sold my iPhone 4 and I need to clean it so it looks like (from the software point of view) a new iPhone. The problem is I have very little time (it needs to be sent today) and quite a lot of questions. I know there are plenty of tutorials on the Internet but the problem is they usually concern single problems.

I would like to keep as much data as possible. While keeping photos and videos is pretty easy, I'm not sure how I can copy my contacts, notes or even messages. The problem is I am not going to get another iPhone so syncing in iTunes won't do the trick.
Also, I'd like to know, in what order I should clean the phone. I assume that removing jailbreak goes first. Are all tweaks and Cydia files deleted afterwards or do I need to remove them manually? After that I guess I can just remove all the files using 'Reset' in settings?

Finally, will removing all files by a single tap in settings restore iPhone to "connect iTunes" state? I want to erase everything, however I heard that if you remove it wrong, you can be brought to DFU mode (not sure wheter it's the right one) which can be quite tricky for the new user to quit.

Summing up, I'd like to remove all data and at the same time avoiding entering DFU mode, just allowing the buyer to use it right away.

Removed my wrong info....sorry!!!

Since you're currently JB... DO NOT use the Restore all Content & Settings via the Settings menu. This will lock your iPhone up in a very difficult to resolve state.

Once you have all the data and info you want saved... the only way to send the purchaser a completely clean iPhone will be to perform a DFU mode Restore via iTunes. This will clear any trace of your information, the Jailbreak, and install a fresh iOS.

Your contacts can be sync'd through iTunes to an email account. Notes can by copied, pasted and emailed... as well as text messages.

I'm sorry. I don't know how I missed that!!! I apologize!!!

I put iPhone in DFU mode, got that warning in iTunes confirming that it really is DFU mode, and then holding shift button I pressed restore, chose the software and waited. I got 3194 and 1602 errors. I tried to add a line in hosts file or another trick in TinyUmbrella but it doesn't work.
Any ideas?
