Flickr has today launched a new update for its iOS app that introduces several handy new features, including Auto Upload and Auto-straightening.
Reporting on the new update, AppleInsider says that it uses iOS 7s new background task execution ability to enable easy and quick photo uploading, even if the app closes when the photo is still in the process of being uploaded. For those concerned about privacy issues with this new feature, AppleInsider says that all newly uploaded photos will be marked private by default.
Also included in the update is Auto-straightening of photos, which AppleInsider says works very well.
The update also introduces some iOS 7-style interface tweaks, including the obligatory flatter icon. Interestingly though, Flickr appears not to have entirely embraced the new iOS 7 design, leaving some shaded elements still in place. Dont tell Jony Ive!
