I jailbroke my phone on 4.2.6 and was wondering if I should update to 4.2.7. If I do, is there a way to keep my apps

you can use an app called aptbackup or pkgbackup for the jailbreak apps and there is an untethered jb for the latest verizon fw

There is an untether for it. But what i don't know is if there is already an unlock for it or for your baseband in case you relay on unlock.

No unlock for the verzion iPhone. Given the choices for the CDMA iPhone I don't think there will be...
