A new Kickstarter project called Noke has almost reached its goal the first day it was posted. Pronounce "No Key", the Noke is the world's first Bluetooth padlock.
Noke looks like a standard padlock, without the dial of course. The lock is accommodated by an app for the iPhone, which lets users unlock Noke with the tap of a button.
Inside the Noke is a replaceable battery, protected by the water resistant housing. If the battery or iPhone were to ever run out of juice, Noke uses the quick click technology to unlock manually.
Currently the project still have 29 days to go with a $63,000+ funded of the $100,000 goal, it would be surprising if it didn't reach it. The Noke seems great for students and bike owners with an estimated shipping date of February 2015.
