New leaked pictures showcase a blue iPhone Lite

The countdown to the release of the low cost iPhone seems to have started, since more and more leaked pictures seem to showcase various parts of the upcoming device. A couple of days ago we saw some rear panels colored in different nuances, indicating that the less expensive Apple smartphone will appeal to the playful side in us.

French website Nowhereelse.fr posted this week yet another image showcasing the same cases but this time including one more color – blue. A couple of months ago a rumor surfaced which prophesied the exact thing, arguing that the cheaper iPhone will become available in gold, gray, white, orang​​e and navy.

The cheaper smartphone has been dubbed the iPhone Lite in the online literature. Judging by the details visible in the new photograph, it will be made of a higher quality polycarbonate plastic and a metal housing which will confer a better protection to the internal modules. This aspect indicates that the shells exposed in the pictures are an advanced prototype.

Even if so far Apple hasn’t confirmed the cheaper iPhone, we have every reason to believe that the device will see the light of day, due to the enormous amount of leaked information covering the topic. A while back some schematics posted by case makers revealed the probable differences between the iPhone 5 and its “budget” version. According to the renderings, the iPhone Lite will feature a wider, thicker and taller frame than what we have been accustomed to so far.
