Chinese publication TechWeb reports Apple is gearing up to release a so-called "iPhone 6C" early next year. The report comes from alleged sources working at Foxconn, Apple's contract fabricator. The sources claim that Apple will unveil the iPhone 6C in January 2016, with a release in early February.
It's best to take this report with a pinch of salt. January and February are months Apple tends to stay away from historically. Knowing Apple, the company would likely silently launch such a device, or announce it alongside next year's iPhone models.
