new SE (2020) or Apple-refurbished 8?

If they were the same price, would you recommend going for a new 2020 SE with 128Gb RAM or an Apple-refurbished iphone 8 with 256Gb RAM? I see that their specs are very similar.

The extra RAM is nice, but isn't essential for me. I don't store a lot of media on my phone. But I've never bought an Apple-refurbished device and am wondering if I should go for it.

Otherwise, do people have strong feelings for or against the SE or 8? Thank you.

I currently have an 8+ and am happy with it but if I were purchasing a new phone, I would get the newest chip. The SE will be faster and IOS updates for the 8 may not be available for more than another year or so, Just my opinion.
