New to IOS JB universe

Only had iphone 4S since Christmas 2011. Nokia owner previously. And now only recently JB using absynthe. Great flexibility But Skype broken and cannot find any fix? Any suggestions?

Skype reported incompatible version once when first used after JB. Since then it loads and places calls but no sound at either end. Everything else seems to work fine as far as I can tell (having not tested every app yet)
