New weird icon appeared in the status bar

Yesterday, after connecting my iPhone to the charger and, incidentally, disconnecting it and connecting back, this new icon appeared in the status bar:



It is on the right side, at the left of the percentage of battery level number.
If I connect the iPhone to the charger, the icon changes to this:



What is this? Does anyone know what app could be displaying this?

Can we see a screenshot from your device? So we can see the location of these icons...

Chances are.... you're iPhone is Jailbroken and you've installed a battery icon tweak from Cydia.

Ok, found out. Its from BattSaver
I wish there as a way to turn the icon off but it seems there isn't such an option :-(
