Well, just got my first iphone...3GS..I know, its not the newest one, but hey I'm cheap. anyway, noticed on the text keyboard there are no scybols that i can use....you know the basic face ones.....am I missing something? Thanks

No no you are not missing anything. If you are doing sms via the native app you will not get the smileys. But when u are chatting using a 3rd party app like yahoo, skype, nimbuzz, ebbudy, whatsapp etc... you will be able to use the smiley right from the keyboard.

Have u already jailbreaked? If yes then i can name u some, if not then i don't think u will be able to find what u want from the application store.

There is one you can use unjailbroken. Goto app store and search for emoji free. For info how to instal I think there was a topic in the forum about it a while back. Ether do a search on here or google and you will have the answer. Works well to BB's and other smart phones that have icons

correct but i belive the other person needs an iphone to see the image or they just see the keystroke equivalent on their end like ).<
No, havent "jailbroke" my phone. dont know enough about that to know if that's what i want to do. I did hear the emjoi free only works for other i phone users.....was looking for something a little more universal that can be compatible with all phones. thanks

My father has a blackberry and most of my emoji icons work when sending him it
You might want to try out emjoi then. I don't know any other apps.
