Where did you buy your iPhone? In some countries FaceTime is banned and is not available on iPhones and iPads.

I bought it in nigeria, but phones come into nigeria from all over the globe

If your phone originated in a country where FaceTime is banned there is no way to add it later. You'll have to use one of the third party apps such as Skype for making video calls.
