Noob saying "hi" per admin recommendation

Hi! I just signed up here...kind of in the middle of a quest. I was searching for an app to tether my iPhone (Verizon) to my laptop. Apparently I got 'taken' by a phony 'Handy Light' that doesnt have the magic beans to get me to the 'castle'. If any knows of an app to tether without paying unrealistic extra fees I'd love to hear from you. I sit here and wonder how many forum Participants actually read the New - o'phites threads. I guess I'll keep an open mind, hang on to a bit of hope and wait and see. Thanks reading all the way through this...and, nice to meetcha!
