Not able to jailbreak

I have an iphone 5 and I downloaded the jailkreak. I connected my phone and it says that it can be jailbroke but when I click start it goes to "retrieving remote package information " then says " Error failed to retrieve package info from the internet" and closes the jailbreak program. What am I doing wrong?

No internet or your network's blocking the port used. Try flushing your DNS and retrying.
