Notification Cetner Mail Sound won't change without restart

I recently updated Notification center to make a sound when new mail arrived from GMail. I tried to change the sound and I continue to hear the original sound. I tried to turn off the sound and I still hear the same original sound. After some experimenting, I figured out that after I change the sound, I have to restart the phone for it to take affect. Has anyone seen this before?
