Open Camera from Lock Screen

If I double click my home button and then press the camera icon the screen bounces up and my last song opens up (the play button appears on the top).. I thought that was a quick way to open up the camera...what am I doing wrong?

Found out all you do is swipe the camera upwards....looks like I got bad info before....geesh.
