Otterbox Defender Charging Flap

Does anyone else have a hard time pulling this up each time to charge? I'm not sure if it's because I don't have long nails, but I have to try numerous times to pull up the flap to put the charger inside. Anyone else have these issues? Has anyone removed it?

I have short nails and i have not had a problem with it.

I also have short or not much nail and have no problem pulling it out.

I cut mine off.

Don't have a problem getting it open, but closing back up again takes a little doing.
