Outlook Calendar....I am at my wits end...and it was a short trip!

Not sure what I did, between setting up icloud and doing an ios update...but my iphone5 no longer syncs calendar events to and from my computer. The ipad2 works just fine. I've tried duplicating the icloud and mail settings I found in the ipad into the phone but no luck. I've searched for advice on what is wrong. Any help out there??? I'd be mighty grateful.
