Pandora, the music streaming and automated music recommendation service, has recently updated its iPhone app with some new features.
From now on, personalized genre and artist suggestions will appear at the top of your list of stations, and a new thumbs-up icon on the now-playing screen will give users fast access to song ratings, It will also serve as a visual reminder if you have the habit of rating songs.
We’ve introduced the Personalization Icon in the top right of the Now Playing screen. Tapping on the new Personalization Icon will take the listener to a brand new Station Details screen. This screen allows listeners yet another way to look at their station history and view the number of thumbs up and thumbs down for that station. Listeners can also rename the station, add variety to the listening experience of that station and see what artist or songs the station was created from.
A minor visual redesign has been deployed, as well. The fresh update will roll out to iPhones in the coming weeks, with an iPad refresh scheduled for a later date. Tony Calzaretta from Pandora added the following:
"We’re excited about this latest refresh to the Pandora experience, and look forward to the continual innovation that will unleash the power of music for listeners, advertisers and artists. We hope these latest updates help our listeners further personalize their stations and discover more music and artists they love. Happy listening!"
