BGR writes that it seems that Major League Baseball has really taken to Apples new Passbook app, which was introduced in iOS 6. For the last two weeks of the season, four MLB teams tested Passbook, and were encouraged when they saw how well fans took to it. Their figures show that 1,500 of all e-ticket buyers (12%) selected Passbook as their chosen delivery method for their tickets. CEO of MLB Advance Media, Bob Bowman, told Market Watch, Fans can use the tickets, forward them to a friend, resell them, or even donate them to charity - and they never get lost or left at home. Unless you leave your phone at home, of course, or havent charged its battery! Still leaving that quibble aside, BGR writes that MLB is looking to stop selling paper tickets and replace them with digital delivery, and BGR says that sales of traditional tickets made up under a third of single-game tickets, representing a huge drop from 55% in 2011. Looks like digital delivery is here to stay!
