hi, i just needed some advice. basically, i want to password protect my apps. i have found some programs such as iprotect, lockdown and locktopus that seemed to work. however, i soon found out that, for example, my pictures could be opened using another app such as ikimi and color effects. so that means that my apps are not really protected. any advice as to what i could do about this problem would be greatly appriecated. thanks in advance

Try StP in the app store. You can load your pictures and document, etc. into it and password them. It even has a separate password where you can put some unimportant stuff so you can fake people out, if they ask to see what's in that folder.

I dont want to have to use another app to store my pictures. Thats because i want to use them with other apps such as ikimi but i want to restrict other users from doin so.

you can just use the iphone settings and restrict certain apps so no one can use it with out a pass

Just put a pass code to your lock screen.

Go to setting> general> restrictions> enable restriction and set a password on it. Down, you can switch off those apps you want to restrict. Anytime anyone including you want to use any off those restricted apps, the person will have to input the correct password and then switch on the desire app before the app can be use.

That is what i want but for some reason it does not ask me to input a code before unlocking. For example, ive put a restriction on the camera app and when i click on the camera button, it opens the app without the code. What did i do wrong??

Yes there is a way to restrict pictures, you can either download any of the applications in the app store which does that, like "fotolr photo studio" and either use it to take photos and save them directely into a protected album or upload photos from camera roll to fotolr photo studio. Here is an screenshoot of what fotolr photo studio can do:

But if you jailbreak, you can look for "photoAlbums" in cydia and you can manage you native album anyway you can think of natively in the the phone. Here is a screenshot of what photoAlbums can do
