Password protect Facebook

I would like to put a password on my phone to access facebook. I don't like that FB messages
automatically pop up on my display. Have kids around, don't always wanting them to see what's
being sent to me when I leave phone on counter, etc. Can you advise me how to do this/ I
have iPhone 4.

Agreed or disable push notifications so you dont get the pop ups and things stay a little more private and then put a lock code on your phone so no one can dig around.
