phonebook contact names all deleted....

if anybody can help me it would be greatly appreciated. my iphone 4G's silent mode stopped working, so i plugged it into itunes, and reset the settings all back to factory mode. then using the backup i re-input all of my pics, apps, numbers etc. and after that the phone book names all wont show up in my contact list, recent calls list, or missed/past calls list.

oh, and even when trying to toggle the silent mode on or off, its always silent....

can anyone give me some advice?

Did you backup before you restored? To get your numbers to sync you havetoo select them to sync with outlook or windows contact. As far as the silent switch if you restored and the switch on the side of your phone doesn't work sounds like you need to get it replaced.
