Photos of Space Black iPhone 7 Plus Mock-Up Surface Online

AppleInsider reports that new images have surfaced online that appear to show a mock-up of a Space Black iPhone 7 Plus. Although initially claimed to be photos of an actual iPhone 7, as AppleInsider notes, there are several indicators that the images are not of a genuine iPhone.

The photos were taken by someone called “KK” and posted by TechTastic. As the Space Black colour variant has not yet been even confirmed by Apple, the images make for interesting viewing, even if they are only of a mock-up, as they at least give us an idea of just how smart a Space Black iPhone might look.

The pictured device is shown with a Smart Connector on the rear, and there are conflicting rumours about whether or not that will actually be a feature of the next iPhone. The one big giveaway that the images are most likely of a mock-up rather than the real thing is the fact that the pictured device is labelled “S,” which is a nomenclature that Apple is hardly likely to use again after releasing the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus last year.
