BGR writes that Niantic has taken to Twitter to let Pokémon Go players know that they’re going to see the ubiquitous Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Zubats a little less often from now on. Or rather, that they’re going to see a more diverse selection of Pokémon.
According to the official Pokémon Go Twitter account, “Professor Willow has discovered that you may encounter other Pokémon where Pidgey, Rattata, and Zubat were previously more commonly found.”
This is music to Pokémon Go players’ ears, as one reason why some people have stopped playing the game is because of the over-abundance of those three Pokémon in particular, so it’s great to know that we can expect a little more variety.
And it seems that Professor Willow has been very busy, as the official Pokémon Go Twitter also made another welcome announcement on behalf of the professor, who has “discovered that Pidgey & Rattata no longer hatch from Eggs. He also found that Eevee now hatches from 5 km Eggs only.”
Another popular move from Niantic, as no one likes hatching yet more Pidgeys and Rattatas from Eggs. Keep up the good work, Professor Willow!
