I see Planet Being has release an app on Cydia called Signal. There seem to be some heavy hints that the Easter Egg inside may be the unlock. It is a paid for app, but basing this on both the dev team posts and others.

I agree, but there are some tweets by Confucious and some members of the Dev team that seem to be hinting it is something pretty special.
As you say though everything has been free before. I am unlocked anyway so not worried about it. But worth keeping an eye on.
