a friend of mine has his iphone 4 doing all different kinds of sounds as text message tones/ alerts not stupid factory tones..
PLEASE someone help me walk threw the steps to turn my ringtones into text messages alerts...

Is his phone jailbroke? If so, you can go into Cydia and there are SMS tones you can download.

no his cell is on at&t not jail broken.

You have to be jailbroken to add custom SMS tones. You can add custom ringtones however...
