@pod2g: "There Is No iOS 6 Jailbreak" [WWJC]

The iPhone 5 running Cydia we all saw several days ago is in fact a failbreak, as Cyril (@pod2g) describes at WWJC (World Wide Jailbreak Convention) this past Saturday. Don't worry yet, iPhone 5 users. Cyril states, "That doesnt mean that there wont be an iOS 6 jailbreak eventually, but dont expect one to be released for months."

Have to wait for Apple to fix the whole battery issue first with iOS 6. With some Cydia apps running in the background 24/7 on top of the base standby power consumption, it'll drain even faster depending on how you tweak it.... JB dream team's got this.

What battery problem? Our iPhone 5s are getting longer battery usage than the 4 and 4S were getting.

I'm not sure what's being said here there is a jailbreak for IO 6 semitethered but it still works just no jailbreak for Iphone 5.

Nope... you can Jailbreak iOS 6 on an iPhone 4 or earlier model iDevice. However, you have to manually install Cydia. Even then it's buggy and doesn't work properly. There is currently no way to JB iOS 6 on a 4S or 5.
