BGR writes that on the eve of the first Pokémon Go special event, which kicks off tomorrow, Pokemon Go Hub has found buried in the hex code of the latest update to the game clues about a Daily Quest feature that will be coming to the game very soon.
According to the code, there will initially be three possible daily quests, First Catch of the Day, First PokéStop of the Day, and an Unknown quest (which may or may not having anything to do with the Pokémon species called Unknown!)
There’s no indication yet about what the rewards might be for completing the quests each day, but there’s also mention of an “incubator” in the code, which could be something to do with it, or might even have something to do with Pokémon breeding, which many players hope to see coming to the game at some point.
The code also mentions Streaks, which involves completing a certain number of daily quests in a row.
Apparently the Daily Quest feature is already embedded in the app and can be turned on at any time by Niantic.
Aside from the hidden Daily Quest code, update 0.43.3 for Pokémon Go also includes a change in the Egg patterns, with different patterns depending on the distance needed to walk to hatch them. Also, Pokémon type icons have been added to the information screen for each Pokémon.
