Police/Fire/EMS Scanner App?

I'm interested in a Police/Fire/EMS Scanner app (no jailbreak) but looking through the app store I'm a little overwhelmed with the possibilities. It doesn't have to be free, but I probably want to stay under a few dollars if possible. Willing to pay a little to get a high quality app if it's really worth it.

Can you tell me the difference between the free one and the pay-for version? Is it just ads, or is there more?

adds more feeds (im guessing for smaller districts)

Thanks. I've some reading to do. There's a 3rd version too:

5-0 Radio Police Scanner Lite (Free)
5-0 Radio Police Scanner ($1.99)
5-0 Radio Pro Police Scanner (Extra Feeds) ($1.99)

The last two are both $1.99, all 3 are the current version 23.0, and all 3 were last updated April 26th. The descriptions are somewhat different, and the reviews are different. I gotta tell you, I'm confused.

try the free one nothing to lose if that's not working for your needs you can go back to being confused

Played with the free version for about an hour tonight. It has my local county's Police/Fire/EMS all on one feed, which is fine with me. It looks like many other interesting feeds are available, including major cities, air traffic control, etc. There's a banner ad at the bottom, but it can actually be turned off for a while if it bothers you. At the moment I think I can get by just fine with the free version. I can always upgrade if I change my mind. Thanks to those who responded.

I'm trying the free 5-0, pretty good so far. There's a fair amount of scans on that...worldwide. $1.99 isn't bad for the next one up, but it's great to have a free try-before-you-buy!
