Sure there are plenty of battery apps in the App Store today, but what makes Power a bit different is today's update. Power 1.1 adds Apple Watch support along with a few tweaks as changes:
- Notifications while your iPhone battery drains or charges (at certain percentages)
- A new page introducing ‘Notifications’
- A new page to remind users to install ‘Power on Apple Watch’
- Fixes missing juice when battery is less than 5%
- Fixes green battery juice at 20% when it should be red
Power 1.1 will only check battery status in the background every hour to avoid battery drainage. The app is capable of checking an iPhone's battery at 10% intervals and will ship a notification right to a users wrist.
Since Apple has yet to put out any sort of API which checks exact battery percentage, this is about as close as anyone can get without Jailbreaking.
Power 1.1 is now available in the iTunes App Store for a mere $0.99.
