when im trying to download the firmware 4.3.3 for jailbreak its in a compressed folder, when i open it there are no ipsw files. cant get passed this, any help??????

they are not in a compressed file... winrar seems to be recognising it as a rar file and ppl think its compressed
Have u tried to change the compressed file extention from what it is to .ipsw extention and see what it gives? Try doing that.

a lot of ppl with winrar have that problem and its not that the extension is even .rar or .zip because the link they use download the file as a .ipsw so the only explanation i can think of is because they have file extensions hidden and think the .ipsw is actually a .zip or .rar

Got it. Cheers for the help. Just didn't have the full extensions on my file names. Fully jailbroken now.
no worries, a lot of ppl seem to make the same mistake thinking the .ipsw is a .rar/.zip file

What is the full extension and how do u change it. Because I'm having the same problem?

you dont change anything just leave it as it is
winrar seems to be recognising the .ipsw as a .zip or .rar and people think they have to extract it and they end up extracting the .ipsw and getting confused
if you go into the folder options then the second tab you should see an options to show file extensions for known file types and then you will see it says .ipsw unless you downloaded it form elsewhere apart from the official apple link, but i would never advise doing that, always get it straight from apple
