Question about 4.0.1 update???

I've had my iphone for about a week now and I have not updated it to 4.0.1 yet. Is that a must do or what?? I have heard that some ppl never update to the new software they just stay with the first that's on their phone cause the new software makes it slower. Just wanting your opinions. Thanks

It fixes bugs..crashes ect. you almost always want to upgrade. Only reason you wouldn't want to is because you hacked/jailbroke your phone and don't want to disable your jailbreak.
