question about Contacts

I just switched from a BlackBerry to an iPhone3 and still in conversion phase. I hope this wasn't a mistake because I really like the iPhone, but email is my greatest need. Here's my question - in my BlackBerry directory, my contacts contact info would all be there - phone numbers and emails, but in the iphone, there doesn't appear to be anywhere to put email addresses. Am I missing something? This issue isn't mentioned in the manual.

Your missing something. You should go into your contacts folder and click on edit. There is a place right under the contacts phone number.

Excellent. Thanks. I kind of figured it had to be there somewhere - that it would be too big a thing for Apple to ignore. Now if there was only a way to easily import my whole blackberry directory to the iphone, but I'm told there's not.

That's possible. Try adding your email account to your phone via settings>general>mail,contacts and calendar. Make sure you click sync contacts. Hope this helps. I was a former bb user as well

maybe try using ms outlook
thats what i did, takes some time but works for sure
