i have got the iPhone 6s chargeable case proper apple one. It charges the phone continuously when phone is in the case providing there is some charge in the case. I was wondering if a phone being charged all time or at least most of time like only not being charged a few hours at night would damage the battery or shorten it. Just wondering if I could leave phone in case as extra battery life all time or would it damage battery?

It won't damage the battery. The charging circuitry in the iPhone would prevent overcharging.

Does Android have the prevent overcharging function?
Most modern electronic devices should have similar charging circuitry. Check the user guide in question to make sure.

I always presumed having it constantly charging would shorten the battery's lifespan. Very interesting.
