Hey just some quick questions that I was not able to find. Sorry if the answers are easily found I am just making sure.

  1. What are you guys experience with sprints in connection? Please Specify which state you are from!
  2. Is the 16gb iphone still 200 for sprint?
  3. How much are the plans for the iphone, and can estimate how much the plan would be all together including tax?
Thank you again, I apologize if these are dumb questions :) I am a newbie.

I tried out Sprint for a month last year and my conection was quite good but I had 2 or 3 dropped calls, I only rember this because I have never had a dropped call on Verizon.

Sprint will be getting both the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S.
The iphone 4 will come in only one storage size, 8GB and will cost $49. The iPhone 4S will come in black and white colors and in three storage sizes; 16GB for $199, 32GB for $299, and 64GB for $399. **All processes on contract**

Sprint has two contract types of contracts the basic unlimited data plan and 450 minutes for $69. And they have the Simply Everything Plan which has Unlimited everything and costs $99.

I had sprint and the service was good in my area. I couldn't tell you how much the phone will cost.

I have been with Sprint for going on 8 years now give or take and I have been very pleased with them. Yes the speed on the 3 G depending on where you are is slow compared to AT&T and similar (direct side by side comparison in various cell phone stores using the speedtest.net apps) but it has always had signal for me except when deep inside large buildings.

Sprint offers unlimited data for the all smart phones as of right now and has committed to it for the iPhone. They have cancelled the sprint premier program and other programs to keep unlimited data. Which has ruffled a few feathers for current users who liked getting the once a year phone upgrades and such premier allowed.

Sprint states they charge an extra $10 dollars a month for smartphones on any plan. This means the $69.99 plan is actually $79.99 plus applicable taxes. However with my current plan it works out like this. (I have had my plan since before they instigated this new $10 dollar surcharge)

I have the everything data plan which gives me this on my LG Optimus S:
450 anytime minutes
Unlimited Data
Unlimited Texting
Free Roaming
450 anytime minutes
video mail
sprint tv
free telenav GPS
free nights and weekends starting at 7pm (for calling land lines)
free mobile to mobile to any mobile phone in the US.
voicemail etc.

for this I pay the following:
Everything Daya Plan $69.99
Total Equipment protection $4 insurance premium/ $4 service/repair
Spending limit program charge $4.99
Sprint surcharges $6.49
Government Taxes and Fees $7.55

For a total of $97.02

You can safely drop the 8 dollars a month for the equipment protection plan if you get the new applecare of course.

Hope this breakdown of my plan helps everyone out there thinking of switching to Sprint.

Well thanks for your reply guys. I brought the iphone 4s from sprint, I chose the 69.99 monthly plan, hope all goes well :)

The connection in the DC area is very good, and the price plans are awesome compared to VZW and AT&T...but check with Sprint as they offer GREAT discounts to your plan, if you work for the right company. I personally get 27% off my plan of $69 which works out to $51.16 (plus of course that wonderful 10 charge, lol). Unlimited everything with 450 minutes....unlimited mobile to mobile, and I do not know anyone with a land line anymore, so I use about 15 mins a month calling like the pizza place and such, lol.

From what i understand is that sprint will not offer insurance on the iphone just like everyother carrier. The only type of insurance is the new Applecare. So it would be cheaper. minus 8 dollars from that total.
