I have an iPhone 4s on 5.1.1 jailbroken with Absinthe 2

I do NOT want to lose my jailbreak. But my iphone Power/Standby button is broken. I was going to attempt to repair it myself but cannot find any good guides pertaining to the 4s and how to fix this particular issue. So I have 30 days left on my warranty and can get a brand new phone from the Apple store. My questions are, are there any guides to fix my 4s power button, and/or is there a jailbreak for IOS 6 yet?

It's tethered at present for iOS 6.0. But you should make sure that iOS 6.0.1 didn't break that method since that is the only version being signed at present and what you would have to install.

No jailbreak for the 4S yet skull :P only the 4. If you give them the phone back within e warranty, you'll be getting a refurbished one for the most part. I mean it's like new, but sometimes the feel and mentality is a little different.

Ah yes. The 4S didn't get any love with iOS 6. Shame too since it is such a great phone.

Agreed. The only thing I don't like about the 4S is the fact that after a certain amount of toggles in SBsettings, the wifi doesn't toggle unless you do it manually in settings..... Damn you iPhone why must you make my life difficult

Guys is there a way to set a different button to enable standby? or ignore a call, power the phone on/off ( in this case, maybe a restart tweak?) ect.. Something to do the same thing the Standby/Power button would normally do?

Activator for jailbroken iPhones. Assistive Touch under Accessibility in settings will meet some of your needs for nonjailbroken devices

Can you explain to me how to use Activator to get it to do what I want? I have it installed but it is..overwhelming. haha I am a noob.

Since Willerz2 has mentioned the assistive touch feature, I am going to refer you to this link thread.

I have been using the assistive touch for about a week and really like it. Not sure if it fits your needs, but you can auto lock your device through the assistive touch feature. There are many features, such as multi task, gestures, shake, etc.

Hope this helps. :)

Activator allows you to set gestures and their actions. From sliding in lateral directions on the screen, on the status bar, volume up them down, vice versa, double press the play/pause button on your headset, etc etc

Ok guys I got it figured out! Thanks so much for all your help!

Random side question..

Why is my 'Other' section on my iphone over 3.5 gigs? :SSSS

It's for miscellaneous stuff like contacts, messages, etc etc
