I know im not the only one that will not be use the news stand for anything. The reason you cant just put it into a folder is because its technically a folder itself.
There is a FREE solution and its called "no news is good news" in the cydia market. When you search for it you need to remove the spaces so it looks like "nonewsisgoodnews" Once installed the news folder/app will be removed there is nothing to configure. If at a later time you want to use news stand just remove the tweak.
